Tena Krouse Named to National Association of Women Business Owners, Richmond Chapter Board for 2007-2008
The Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners recently held elections for the coming chapter year. During the elections, Tena Krouse was named to a Directorship position. "I am thrilled to have this opportunity to serve on the board with other women that I admire in the local business community. I hope to continue to learn, grow, and give back during my time on the Richmond NAWBO board. I encourage anyone, whether male or female, to take the time and get involved in their location organizations. After all, as a collective unit of individuals, we can shape the future of these organizations - if we will only get involved."

Tena Krouse Named to River City Express Network Board of Directors
Tena Krouse was recently named to the River City Express Network Chapter of the American Business Women's Association Board of Directors. Tena begins serving in the capacity of Vice President of Programs, August 2007 for a period of 12 months. "I am so excited to take on such a pivotal role within the organization. I hope to be able to bring to the membership, programs that both increase their knowledge and their skills no matter if they are an executive within a company or own one of their own," Tena said. Tena went on to say, "RCEN has meant so much to me since establishing Y Not Now, LLC and has been an outlet for me to meet other female professionals in this area. I only hope to use this position to give back to the organization a little of what they have given to me."

Tena Krouse was recently recognized as the River City Express Network (RCEN)Woman of the Year for 2007. The Network Woman of the Year program recognizes a member who has outstanding achievements and has made notable contributions to the network. Included in the judging criteria are: American Business Women's Association and River City Express Network participation, education, career accomplishments and community involvement.

Virginia Women's Business Enterprise Certification
Y Not Now, LLC has been designated as a Virginia Certified Small, Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise. "The Virginia WBE Certification was developed in 1993 in response to the demand from key women's organizations, women busines owners, and procurement professionals.
