Local Business Woman Named Among Membership Elite
Kansas City, MO (Oct. 22, 2008). The American Business Women's Association named Tena Krouse as one of the Top Ten Business Women of ABWA. For more than 50 years, ABWA’s Top Ten Business Women program has annually honored 10 outstanding members of ABWA for achieving excellence in career, education and community involvement. Each local league has the opportunity to nominate a Top Ten candidate. The final ten are selected by a panel of three non-ABWA judges.
The winners are chosen for their numerous career and philanthropic achievements, as well as for their ability to demonstrate how their involvement in the Association has contributed directly to their career achievements.

Tena speaks to the Goochland County Chamber of Commerce - Successful Marketing in Difficult Times
September 16, 2008 - An early chill and rain did not deter the members of the Goochland County Chamber of Commerce as they came out to here Tena speak about how to achieve Successful Marketing in Difficult Times. In an article published in the Goochland Courier regarding the event, the chamber stated it is "aware that businesses need to strategize as to how to utilize their marketing dollars." Tena's presentation showed attendees how to incorporate cost-effective, user-friendly, and valuable marketing strategies into their business. Plus, she provided tips and sites that business owners could employ immediately to help navigate the market during difficult times. The presentation focused on planning, relationship branding, and media communication.

Tena Krouse Named to River City Express Network Board of Directors
Tena Krouse was recently named to the River City Express Network Chapter of the American Business Women's Association Board of Directors. Tena begins serving in the capacity of President Elect, August 2008 for a period of 12 months. "I am honored to be nominated as President Elect for our chapter. Last year, in my role as VP of Programming, I was so positively impacted by the feedback from the members on what content met their needs. This year, in my role as President Elect, I hope to continue to benefit the members and guests on a more individual level," Tena said. Tena went on to say, "RCEN has meant so much to me since establishing Y Not Now, LLC and has been an outlet for me to meet other female professionals in this area. I only hope to use this position to give back to the organization a little of what they have given to me."

Tena Krouse was recently recognized as the River City Express Network (RCEN)Woman of the Year for 2007. The Network Woman of the Year program recognizes a member who has outstanding achievements and has made notable contributions to the network. Included in the judging criteria are: American Business Women's Association and River City Express Network participation, education, career accomplishments and community involvement.

Virginia Women's Business Enterprise Certification
Y Not Now, LLC has been designated as a Virginia Certified Small, Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprise. "The Virginia WBE Certification was developed in 1993 in response to the demand from key women's organizations, women busines owners, and procurement professionals.
